Software Development Engineer

Skyward Mobile is seeking a smart and motivated Software Development Engineer to help design and develop the next generation of Skyward Mobile applications. The right candidate will be organized, extremely detail oriented, energetic and good at multi-tasking, with excellent people and communications skills. The individual must be able to maintain focus in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities:

• developing a wide variety of mobile applications
• developing a wide variety of mobile applications, from games to social neworks to shopping tools to web navigation
• contributing ideas to the server and platform teams
• developing a variety of application-specific tools

Required Skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 4 years of equivalent experience

Desired Skills:

• Experience developing mobile applications
• Experience building Java (JSP, servlets), PHP, or similar technology-based web applications
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL) and database driven application development
• Knowledge of XML and scripting languages
