The HP IPAQ 63xx Mobile Phone / PDA uses the Windows Pocket PC 2003 operating system. When you buy the mobile phone, it does not have a JVM installed with it. If you are looking for a JVM to use with your HP IPAQ 63xx mobile phone / PDA, you can use EWE which is a free Java Virtual Machine (JVM) for your Windows Pocket PC gadget.
You can download a copy of the EWE JVM from their web site by clicking here. Installing the JVM is quite easy. All you have to do is unzip the file you downloaded. If you do not have a zip program, You can download and install a free software called 7-zip here.
Once you have unzip the file, copy the Ewe-PocketPC2003.arm.CAB file into your HP IPAQ 63xx Mobile Phone / PDA. Then run the File Explorer on your HP IPAQ Pocket PC. Go to the directory where you copied the EWE JVM CAB file and then simply click on the EWE JVM CAB file using your stylus.
Clicking on the EWE’’s Pocket PC JVM CAB file will automatically start the installation process. After the installation, the CAB file will be deleted from your HP IPAQ Pocket PC and you can now go to “Start-Programs-Ewe” and click on the EWE icon to run the newly installed JVM. You can try the Solitaire and Registry Viewer sample programs that comes with the installation.
