Up to now Apple has not supported Java on it’s iPhone and the newest MacOSX — Leopard. What could be the reason behind the delay? Apple has announced that they will be coming out with an SDK for their iPhone soon! Do you know what the SDK looks like?

News have been going around about the possible porting of PhoneME on the iPhone because of Apple’s failure to provide support for Java on the iPhone. Even the newest version of Apple’s Mac OSX doesn’t have support for Java until now. I was already even decided on getting a MacBook Pro for my next notebook but now it seems that I have to look elsewhere for my next notebook computer.

With Google’s seat in Apple’s Board, I’m sure that Apple have know about Android for a while. Does Apple’s delay in coming out with Java support on the iPhone mean that they plan to use Google’s Android on the iPhone?

I don’t know if Apple will be allowed to use the Platform without the Linux OS (since the iPhone already has it’s own OS) but it would be great to see Apple support the open mobile platform called Android.

In a few more hours, Google will be releasing the much awaited Android SDK and I am eagerly waiting to see what will happen in the mobile world next. I have been waiting for such a long time for this kind of initiative to open up the mobile communications industry. I hope that this initiative will benefit the industry especially the developers and users.
