Creating an MMOG on Android

Android mascotLooks like there’s some people who are also interested in creating a massively multi-player online game (MMOG) for the Android platform. There are great possibilities in developing such a mobile game for an upcoming open mobile platform.

Opening up the mobile networks will have a great impact on our daily lives. We surf the NET, chat, play online games on our desktops as part of our normal lives. Now just imagine if we can do this anywhere we are using our mobile devices. The things we can do and the changes that will result are mind boggling. It’s like having your desktop computer in your pocket.

I think that puting MMOG on mobile devices is one such idea that is cool — you are no longer limited to playing on your desktop. Some people on the Internet have started a group at Google to get something started in creating an MMOG on the Android platform.

If you’re also interested in such a project, you can go to the Android-MMOG group at Google. The project is open to everyone who is interested in creating such a game so head on to Android-MMOG and join the group.
