I’ve been looking around for support of PHP on the NetBeans IDE and up to now hasn’t found one. Maybe I’m not looking good enough or there is just isn’t any.

I could think of some pretty good reasons why there isn’t none but there is some pretty good reasons why there should be one. Whatever they are, I guess I have to use the best of both worlds for now.

At least I’m not alone in using Eclipse for PHP and choosing NetBeans for J2ME. Even Revvi, wrote about it in his blog “NetBeans 6″. Hi Revvi, we’ll have to use both for now, not unless you found a NetBeans plugin for PHP. Maybe you can tell me where I can find it. :-)

In fact NetBeans has it in http://php.netbeans.org. I’ve downloaded the full package of the new NetBeans. I’m going to install it.

    Hi Revvi,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Just got it installed on my NetBeans IDE. Hmmm finding the time to try it out seems to be tight at the moment though :-(
Maybe, I’ll try using it when I create my own plugin for Wordpress. :-)

PHP is available for Netbeans 6 on update center only.
So just select it from the list and push Install :)
