It looks like that NetBeans v6.1 will soon be coming out. You can read more about upcoming changes in Vince Kraemer’s blog at blogs.sun.com
One notable addition in NetBeans v6.1 is support for SIP Servlet applications (JSR 289). This should make it easier to build server-based multimedia applications that can interact with mobile phones and other devices.
