Pending release of new version of Android

I’m eagerly waiting for the pending release of a new version of Google’s open mobile platform — Android. You’ve probably read it since it’s all over the news lately.

The new version of Android, which is scheduled to be released in a couple of weeks in time for the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, is said to have a new user interface (UI). An initial glimpse was actually made available to a group of developers over at the UK.

Other developments on the news include some talk about Dell working on a mobile phone that uses the Android platform. Maybe also going to be available in Barcelona.

Google has been quiet lately (the calm before the storm?) about the Android open mobile platform. I hope that we can all see some available mobile phones after the Barcelona event.
