Microsoft has announced at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona the acquisition of Danger Inc. in line with its expansion into the mobile consumer space. There’s a twist to this story, did you know that…

Danger Inc. is actually Rubin’s (of Google Android) previous company that launched the mobile Hiptop device in 2002. Danger Inc’s devices continue to be popular particularly for text messaging. After leaving Danger, Rubin setup the company Android in 2003 which Google then acquired in 2005.
