Everything and anything about Java Mobile. If it’s about Java Mobile we’ve got it covered.
TibiaME, a free J2ME MMORPG for mobile phones, scores 3rd at the British Telecom Wi-Fi developer challenge. The prize is being awarded by the British Telecom in order to promote innovative and easy to use Wi-Fi technology for the mobile industry.
“I have been impressed by the range of innovative entries we have received.” said Jerry Thompson, Director of Value added Services and Devices for BT.
The entries to the competition did not only come from the gaming industry, but included products from all developers of mobile software solutions. “Receiving critical acclaim for TibiaME not only from our own industry, but from a leading provider of communication solutions like BT as well is a great motivation.” says Andreas Weikl, Marketing Manager for CipSoft. “TibiaME is the only game in the Top 3. This is once again a positive confirmation for our strategy: The combination of entertaining game content with innovative technology.” Weikl continues.
In the colourful real-time fantasy world of TibiaME, hundreds of players set forth together in search of virtual adventure. Playing as warriors or wizards, they are faced with the challenge of developing the skills of their selected characters. Exploring a large variety of areas, unravelling secrets and interacting with other players on a social and diplomatic level are key elements of the game. Currently, more than 20,000 players enjoy the TibiaME experience.
