Megacity Empire: New York mobile game

I love playing Simcity on the PC. When Gameloft created the Megacity Empire: New York mobile game, I simply can not let the opportunity to play the mobile game just pass out on me. And you know what, I can not say enough about how cool playing Megacity Empire on my mobile phone is.

I love playing city simulation games on the PC, it’s just way to cool. The closer to reality the simulation gets the better. When I found out about Megacity Empire: New York, I didn’t waste anytime getting a copy and playing it on my mobile phone. This Java mobile game from Gameloft is simply the coolest. I never really imagined that with SimCity’s requirements, something similar on the mobile phone will be doable — well up until now.

Graphics? — It’s simply awesome. Very good detail, I may say, for a city map on the mobile phone. Even the animations are impeccable. Weather simulation including snow in the winter great. Plus I didn’t notice any lag when I scroll the map on my mobile phone screen. The graphics and animation alone deserves credit — kudos to Gameloft for doing a great job.

The mobile game is all about being the mayor of New York. As mayor, you are tasked to take your city, New York, into a level of prosperity and progress that will make your constituents happy. You will have to see to it that there’s available residences, jobs, commercial areas. You would also need to make sure that you have enough schools in your city to educate your people and improve their lives.

You have to make sure that enough policemen maintain peace and order. Firemen are ever ready to quell any fires that may arise in your city. You also need to build parks and other recreational areas in order to increase your people’s happiness — a happy population creates a better working force. Your work doesn’t stop there, you need to create enough power, water, transportation and other necessities for your city.

To help you with the gargantuan task, you need to choose an advisor that will assist you in reminding and doing the tasks. You will also find your advisor an indispensible employee especially when your city experiences bumps on its way to progress.

Learning to play the Megacity Empire mobile game is very easy because of the provided tutorial. You’ll be playing the mobile game in no time. The user interface to play the mobile game is well thought of and is very easy to use. It’s so easy that you can actually play the Java mobile game with just one hand. The mobile game can also be saved so that you can load it later to continue playing from were you left off.

And the game is very playable — I just can’t wait to finish this game — with several scenarios of game play. It won’t probably stop here. I can just see the possibilities — download different “City Packs” on your mobile phone to play the simulation for other cities. I will be surprised if Gameloft isn’t thinking about this possibility right now.

But for now, I suggest you buy the Megacity Empire: New York mobile game — it’s a great city simulation game you can play on your mobile phone.
