I’m sure a lot you have been waiting for this for quite a while and with all the blogging about how great NetBeans version 6.1 is, you don’t have to wait any longer. NetBeans 6.1 is now available for download.
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity of playing a mobile game which was welcome relaxation from my activities. The mobile game is Midnight Bowling 2. If you love playing sports game on your mobile phone, you’ll like this game for the simple idea of being able to play bowling with friends right in your living room.

Opera has announce the technical preview release of its Opera Mini web browser for Google’s open mobile platform, Android.
Looks like it’s good to go! Innaworks, a New Zealand company, has entered the beta testing period for their alcheMo product. It enables standard J2ME applications to run on the iPhone and iPod.
Some pretty exciting things have really been happening in the mobile space. Nokia has just launched its Mobile Games Innovation Challenge to dare developers to ‘rock’ mobile games world. The Challenge is open to both Symbian and J2ME mobile games with great prices in store for the winners.
You can now control your Open Office 2.3 presentations using your bluetooth enabled mobile phone using a simple java midlet / J2ME software.
Looks like somebody got adventurous and resulted in getting the Android open mobile platform running on the Nokia N810. Pretty cool don’t you think?
