This June, Sun Tech Days will be in Manila (Philippines). The tracks are pretty interesting so if you happen to be in Manila and you’re a Java developer, you might want to register for the event. For the mobile Java developers, there’s Java ME: Extreme GUI Makeover for Mobile Phones session.

The J2ME session will be presenting some sample code which provides us with a useful real-world web services-based business search and mapping application.

It will also touch on SVG technology and JSR 226. The search and mapping application sample will be used to present a makeover of the UI using SVG and JSR 226 resulting in a usable and visually appealing version of the original mapping application.

The conference fees cost 1,000.00 in Philippine pesos or about USD 25.00. If you register before June 6, you’ll get a 20% discount. Students automatically get a 60% discount. Or you can just attend the free NetBeans session on June 17.

The Sun Tech Days in Manila is scheduled to be held on June 17-19 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Ayala Ave corner Makati Ave, Makati City, Philippines. You can find the location map of Shangri-la hotel at Makati City web site.

Aside from the great technical tracks/sessions, it’s also a great opportunity to meet your fellow developers so if your interested, you can register online right now. For details visit the Sun Tech Days web site.
