With Nokia already owning about 48% of the Symbian company, they have made an offer to buyout the other owners (Sony Ericsson, Samsung and others). This is in addition to its recent buying spree — they just bought a Social Network startup called Plazes.

I kept asking myself why Microsoft would acquire Danger Inc. The company (Danger Inc.) is a mobile device manufacturer that makes the popular HipTop / Sidekick mobile phones is a heavy Java user. Danger Inc is actually a licensee of J2ME. Why would Microsoft acquire a company that uses heavily uses Java on its mobile phones? I tried to search the Internet for answers.

Wow, just found out that Nokia is to acquire Trolltech Qt — yup the very company responsible for the Qt software found not only in linux mobile phones but also the software that provides the base for the KDE GUI found in Linux distributions.
