Sony Ericsson and Microsoft has announced the XPERIA X1 Java enabled mobile phone coming out on the second half of 2008. The mobile phone will be using Windows Mobile as the operating system. Check out the specs and photo at TxTu.

Looks like Google’s Android has tons of catching up to do. Besides the huge installed base of Java-enabled mobile phones and Nokia’s acquisition of TrollTech, they now have to contend with the recently announced first 3G capable Linux mobile phone under the sub-$100 category by NXP and Purple Labs.

Well, another mobile phone has just been officially announced by Sony Ericsson which seems to be beefing up it’s phone portfolio in time for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Sony Ericsson W760 has some nifty features that includes version 3.0 of the WalkmanÂ® player.

Sony Ericsson has just announced the W350 mobile phone. This upcoming Java-enabled mobile phone from Sony Ericsson has a design I haven’t seen for quite a while — flip-style mobile phones. This is the first from Sony Ericsson (if I don’t count the ones sporting the Ericsson brand).
