The Limo Foundation, which promotes a Linux platform for mobile phones, has another new member. Opera has now joined the Limo Foundation.

With Nokia already owning about 48% of the Symbian company, they have made an offer to buyout the other owners (Sony Ericsson, Samsung and others). This is in addition to its recent buying spree — they just bought a Social Network startup called Plazes.

Looks like somebody got adventurous and resulted in getting the Android open mobile platform running on the Nokia N810. Pretty cool don’t you think?

It has been a couple of months since Google has provided an update for Android, the open mobile platform that uses Linux and Java, but wait no more ‘coz Google has just released another update in time for the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona.

With all the rumors and talks about Google’s upcoming foray into the mobile space, I have just about heard of all kinds of reasons for a Gphone. Well, I don’t have to wait no more. Google has just announced it’s plans for the mobile space and it looks like we’re heading towards a disruption in the mobile industry.
